MOMS CLUB OF DOUGLASSVILLE WEST

The MOMS Club was designed specifically to help stay-at-home mothers. We not only accept your chosen profession (staying home to raise your children), we applaud it! We understand the challenges we all face each day.

This club is not just about our children; it is also about us. As a stay-at-home mom, it is difficult to meet new people and to tackle all of the tasks a mother has to do. The most important thing to remember is we are all here to support one another in any way possible. Make some new friends today!

History

“Our club began with 3 members from the MOMS Club of Pottstown who lived in Douglassville being asked if hey would help to form a new sistered chapter in the spring of 2002.  We were unsure at first as to whether there would be enough interest in a club in our area.  We decided to take the risk, and began spreading the word that a new chapter would possibly be forming.  Later that spring, we held some informational meetings with the help of the Pottstown chapter.  Slowly we were able to find enough members to form an executive board.  Our first official meeting was held in July of 2002, with nearly 25 moms in attendance wanting to learn more about the club.”

First Open House in August 2002 with 49 prospective moms in attendance. After one year, there were 59 happy members.

MOMS Club of Douglassville sistered into East and West effective 7/1/2005.

Dues : Our dues are 20.00 a year and pay for our room rentals, supplies and programs. You may attend two monthly Membership Meetings before you decide to become a member. We understand that being a mother-at-home often means a tight family budget, so if the dues would be a hardship for your family, please speak to one of our Executive Board members.
