I was new to the area and knew no one.  I was pregnant with my first child and knew I needed to make some connections and gain a support network.  Being a mom is hard and being alone would have been even harder!  Patricia

I grew up in another state and moved here knowing nobody!  I was so happy to make friends with other moms, as well as find fun activities to get my daughter and I out of the house! Zabrina

I joined so my children would have more opportunities to meet other children in our neighborhood and have playdates and activities.  Heather

I joined the Mom's Club because I had just had my first child and didn't know anyone in the area.  I wanted him to grow up socializing with other children and we found many wonderful friend ships along the way!  Shannon **

To meet other moms in the community, to exchange experiences, issues with the children, all while building relationships between myself and other moms while my children are building friendships of their own.   Melissa

I moved to the area from New England and knew no one.  The closest family member is one hour away.  The first person I met the day the movers moved us in was a member of the club.  She was friendly and outgoing. I was immediately interested and so glad I joined and became involved.  My family has reaped the benefits of great friends!   Marcella

I joined the Moms Club of to meet other Moms who had children.  My children were not in daycare and I wanted them to play with other children.  I worked full time but had some flex time to spare.  I filled my spare time with playgroups and then started hosting my own playgroups.  I never dreamed that I would make wonderful friends for myself.  I had NO idea this would be the outcome. My children know very well they are part of the Moms Club too. The fun continues 6 years later.  Leslie

I joined the Mom's club for the support.   It's a wonderful resource to count on when you need help with raising and managing a family.  It takes a village to raise a child.    Tiffany
For the Rice Krispie Treats!!! Seriously, because I wanted to give my children the social opportunities that many children of stay-at-home moms lack.  I also made many friends myself in the process.  Dre

I joined the Mom's Club as a way for my children to make new friends, meet other moms from my neighborhood, and to learn about activities available for kids and families in the area.  Being new to the area, this was a great way to become involved.  Cheri

I joined the moms club to get to know people in the neighborhood and hopefully make some friends since I didn't know anyone at that time!!  Debbie

I joined looking for some adult conversation, to get to know some people in my community and for playmates for my son.  6 years and 4 children later, I have gotten so much more from this club, its’ wonderful women and their children, then I would have ever hoped.  I can’t imagine life without this club!  Steph

Top 8 reasons (who has time for 10?!?!)
Why We Joined the MOMS Club

Reason #8    You talked to the girl at the McDonalds drive-thru for 20 minutes just to get some adult conversation.

Reason #7    In effort to socialize your child, you've taken out a second mortgage to pay for all the Gymboree and music classes.

Reason #6    You're more excited than the kids when you hear, "Daddy's Home!"

Reason #5    You're no longer responsible for what you will do if one more person asks, "Aren't you bored staying at home?"

Reason #4    The last novel you read was RAINBOW FISH (and you were on the edge of your seat 'til the bitter end).

Reason #3    You're beginning to think "The Backyardigans" is the best drama on TV.

Reason #2    The five ugliest words in the English language - "I have to work late."

Reason #1    You've found yourself singing "The Wiggles" songs in your spare time (and you like them).
