Service Projects: 
  • Children’s Coat Drive for needy children in Reading.
 
  • Donated hundreds of card-fronts to the St. Judes Ranch for Children in Nevada.
 
  • A food drive with donations to the Early Intervention program of Montgomery County to help feed children with developmental delays. We had eight very large grocery bags full of food.
 
  • Toy donations to Birthright in Pottstown.
 
  • Cash donation to Operation Uplift, a program spearheaded by the American Red Cross in conjunction with the Pennsylvania National Guard.  This program gave $10 gift cards to children of deployed service men and women.
 
  • Berks Women in Crisis – donations of clothing, cleaning supplies, food supplies, and Mother’s Day gifts – provided something on a monthly basis.
 
  •  Red Cross – donation of cash and cards to soldiers overseas.
 
  • Daniel Boone Area Library.
 
  • Cash donations to Amity Fire House.
 
  • Ronald McDonald House – cash donation.
 
  • Berks County Intermediate Unit – cash donation.
 
  • Collected school supplies for the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU).  This was directly given to the Head Start program for the needy preschool children.
 
  • Proceeds from first semi-annual Clothing and Equipment sale to Reading Hospital Pediatric Unit. 
 
  • Cash donation to the Le Leche League.
 
  • Donated health items (comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, washcloth, hand towel, nail clippers, band aids) to make kits for Tsunami victims in Asia.  Each kit contained the above items and was sealed in a gallon zip loc bag.  25 kits were made with the members’ donations.
  • Berks County Food Pantry through St. Paul's UCC Church, concentrating in baby items.
  • Buddy Ball, a new baseball program, pairing up children with special needs with a baseball "buddy".
  • Camp Sonshine at Camp Manatawny
  • Monocay Elementary Center Library check donation and book drive for the library.
  • Swim Suit collection for Pottstown YMCA for children in need.
  • Decorated brown bags for the holidays for Meals on Wheels recipients.
  • Toys For Tots toy donations
  
  • The 2nd semi-annual Clothing and Equipment sale was held in the spring.  Donations of  were made to the two local fire companies – Monarch and Amity.
 
  • $200 to Amity Lions Club to have a brick paver placed in the new park with the MOMS Club of Douglassville name placed on it.
 
  • Canned goods were donated to St. Paul’s UCC food pantry.
 
  • Amity Township police – D.A.R.E. Fund cash donation.
 
  • Amity Primary Center Library, Reading Success cash donation.
 
  • Amity Township Parks & Recs $500 – benches for new park.
 
  • Boone Area Library $1,025 from clothing and equipment sale.
 
  • DNA project sponsored by the Masons.
 
  • Car seat safety check.
 
  • Food Bank donations.
 
  • Fall Clothing and Equipment Sale – donated proceeds to Donated to Concerns, which is a local charity helping abused, neglected and delinquent children and youth.  Our donation was specifically used for the foster care program which provides duffle bags of personal items for the children.  We also donated to Concerns, any clothing, equipment, toys, ect left over form the sale.
 
  • Spring Clothing and Equipment Sale donation went to “Mommy’s Light” which is a local organization that helps to continue the memory and traditions of children who have lost their mother.
 
  • Habitat for Humanity – building a house in Fleetwood, PA and donation of water, drinks and food to volunteers and Habitat workers.
 
  • Fundraiser – Clothing and Equipment Sale $1800 donated for a Smile From Jason Foundation. $350 was raised for donation to the the church where the clothing sale was held.
 
  • Donation to Berks Women in Crisis Transitional Housing and Shelter – collection of goods such as toiletries, cleaning supplies, diapers, wipes, and baby non-perishables from October 2007 until Februay 2008.
 
  • Local Family in Need Service Project  Helping hands dinner provided for 2 weeks.  We called upon businesses for donations – McDonalds, Redners Warehouse Market, Wawa donated gift cards, local restaurants donated meals, a local florist donated flowers, from the efforts of a member’s husband, Wachovia Bank donated $1500, Kimberton Whole Foods donated $300 worth of meat.
 
  • First Annual Preschool Information Faire – local parents came to the fair to collect information regarding their children’s preschool education.  Approximately 18 local preschools and enrichment centers participated. 
 
  • Clothing and Equipment Sale with proceeds donated to Monocacy Hill Conservation Society, a local group dedicated to preserving the trails of Monocacy Hill. 
 
  • Walk for Cystic Fibrosis - $250 was raised by by donations from members to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
 
  • Spinal Muscular Atrophy - $250 raised by donations from members to walk for a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
 
  • First Aid Kits – members donated first aid items to be distributed to the chapter’s 55 members to have a first aid kit for a diaper bag or car.  Included band aids, gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, Neosporin, pedialyte pops.
 
  • Alex’s Lemonade Stand – held during Lemonade Days at Redner’s Warehouse Market from 8 am to noon.  Members and older children manned the stand.  $300 was raised for Alex’s Lemonade Sand for childhood cancer research.
 
  • Moms Club member invited to be on the Leaf Creek Trail Council.
 
  • First Annual Preschool Faire Open to the Community to “shop” for a preschool.
 
  • St. Paul’s UCC Food Bank – collect items monthly for food bank to be distributed to local families, concentrating on baby and children items.
 
  • Donation from Fall 2008 clothing sale will be to Daniel Boone Library in an effort to assist them to stay open.
